The Nanni standard

Some things should not need a clay tablet.

Bad copper. A delayed delivery. A messenger treated with disrespect. Ea-nasir has already had Nanni’s strongly worded complaint. We would rather not need another.

The grade comes first.
Good copper and disputed copper do not belong under the same description.
A delay is not a delivery.
Promises travel easily. Copper is another matter. Put the material and the quantity in writing.
Respect the messenger.
They came for a straight answer, not an argument at the door.
